She's a lot of things, but basically she's just a girl. An (extra)ordinary one, and don't you forget it.

lyrics of awesomeness

waking up in the midday sun
what's to live for?
you could see what i'd done
staring at emotion in the light of day
i was running

Guess what?

I came up with titles for my different groups of friends.

The WWW Gang (no, I didn't actually come up with this name): Yanen, Zhiyi, Shan, Grace, Yuling

The Otaku Brigade: Donna, Phoebe, Sarah, Dawn, Sharon.

The Randomness Advocates: Min, Carolyn, Taylor, Vanessa, Shan (yes, shansquared, you appear twice. Be honoured. Be very honoured :D) Thanita, Yvette. Can't think of any more crappers.

It's much easier referring to particular group of people this way :)

So I went out with two members of the Otaku Brigade today, Sarah and Phoebe.

Had a nice long catch-up session with them. Phoebe is wating away at PL Sec. She prefers the primary school infinitely. Apparently, after a sex talk, some Sec 3 seniors scattered their free tampons all over the place.

Oh boy, oh boy. Bet their DM just ADORED that.

Sarah is having an awesome time at Cedar. And I am too, I suppose.

We went mall-hopping. First to Borders, then to Ion. We chatted in Mos Burger. It was nearly deserted, which suited us fine, because we could have a nice bitching session.

Then to Taka, where Kino was our first stop. I tried (and failed) to explain the plot of the Private series to Sarah and Phoebe. So I got Sarah to read the scene where Ariana tries to off Reed in Confessions.

She loved it, naturally :)

Gramophone was our next stop. A snippet of our conversation:

Phoebe (picks out Krystal Meyers CD) : Omigod, do you like her?
Me: Yeah, she's cool.
Phoebe: I love her!
Me:...Rephrase that right now.

And after that, to Bossini, because Sarah and I decided Phoebe needed a bit of colour in her wardrobe. I swear, it's like a checkerboard, all black and white. The closest thing to colour she has is this dark blue-and-white-striped tank.

But our search came up negative, because everything was too ex :(

And we tromped our way to Cathay, because we wanted to check the movie times of Coraline.

It was too late for Phoebe, because she had to go to church afterwards. Sooo...off to Taka again, jiggety jig. Another random useless fact: Mac's milkshakes taste like sugar and cream spun into ice. In other words, puke-worthy. Sarah and I wanted something cold to drink on our trek across Orchard.

Phoebe observed that, even with the jogging periods in 35-degree weather (like this afternoon) that Sarah and I have told her about, my skin refuses to tan.

I don't tan. I burn D:

We also discussed songs that have lyrics with-ahem-hidden meanings. Because there was an open-air cafe, with a singer who was singing Mercy by Duffy.

You got me begging you for mercy
Why won't you release me?

Phoebe says it makes her think of bondage. As in, tying someone up. Think kinky.

Ashley Tisdale's He Said She Said is also one. Phoebe (god-damn-it, I have missed her crazy, fucked-up sense of humour so much. It can rival Yvette's, trust me) said it was pretty mild. Basically, as she puts it, "I went to your house, had a bit of fun, and want more".

It was just hilarious, the way she said it. Supermassive's Black Hole, too.

Ooh, baby don't you know I suffer?
Ooh, baby can't you hear me moan?

Innuendo much? We discussed this at length, until we reached Taka.

They bought facial cleanser in Watsons and looked at bath gel and body butter and scents and whatnot in The Body Shop. I was bored out of my mind, becuse, I have all the skincare products I need at home. Cleanser. Pimple cream. That about sums up my skincare regime.

And finally, we settled in Macs with regular fries and nuggets. We bitched, we chatted, we laughed. I missed fangirling sooo much. My Cedarian friends aren't really the fangirly type. Except for the more extreme cases...*coughcough*MyandThanita*coughcough*

Then on the way to the MRT, there was this guy wearing an ah-mazin' message tee: I think he's gay! (arrow points at person next to him)

Teehee.

And we all went home.
