I know it's a little late for this, but anywaaay... OMG I GOT INTO MEDIA CLUB EDITORIAL SECTION! Pardon the lack of punctuation. OK, so the first Media Club meeting was on Wednesday. Some old dude was showing us examples of Photoshop he'd used on the pix some girls from the Photography section had taken. The theme was CNY, so they went to Chinatown. During CNY. They actually braved the crowds at Chinatown-during CNY, keep in mind-to have their pix edited by some old dude. I know it dosen't sound very impressive like this, but I've been there and you can hardly take two steps on the street- because then you'll be stepping on a stranger's foot. It's that crowded. Then after that me and the rest of the Sec 1s had to go for this Research Skills Workshop. The seniors in the com lab told us to go to this website about the tree octopus. At first I was like, tree octopus? Never heard of it... When I saw the creator-Lyle Zapato-I thought, that's a weird name. But I still didn't suspect anything. When I read the description of this supposedly endangered species, I still didn't suspect anything. Hey, it's good to keep an open mind, right? But when I saw the pix of the "tree octopus", I started laughing my arse off. Like one of the girls sitting beside me put it, it looked like Bubbles' toy octopus. You know, from the Powerpuff Girls? It was so obviously a freaking soft toy. Then everyone was ridiculing this Lyle Zapato guy. Until the seniors told us to log onto wikipedia and search for tree octopus. Don't feel like writing the rest, you go on wikipedia if you wanna find out more about it. But anyway, whoever this punk is, he's got waaay too much time on his hands. I envy him. Then, second part of Media Club: Sec 1 orientation. Nothing much lah... Double Whacko, introduce yourselves...etc etc etc. But we did get Ferrero Rocher! (sp?) The video course next day was way more interesting. We arrived at the com lab a little early, so the Sec 1s and the seniors started talking. I feel at home already! :D There's a fellow Bang Bang Tang fangirl (Sec 1, from another class) and a fellow Zuko fangirl (senior.) I saw a picture of him on her file, and I was like, I like him too! And then we started fangirling! Until the teacher (miss Amira) came. The seniors are random, insane and fangirly in the extreme. Just my kind of people! OK, brother is nagging me for the com.
