Went for church with Minru The Chee. You know I always pass by Trinity Methodist Church whenever I go to Serangoon Gardens, which is within walking distance of my house, but I never went in until today. I haven't been to church since I was, what, P6? There definitely were some things I missed. And some things I didn't. I swear I nearly fell asleep during the sermon. Haha sor-ree. I went to bed at like 12.30 the night (morning?) before and I had to wake up at 8am. But I didn't realize I missed it. My family is kinda bo chap about religion. There was this unwitten agreement from the start that we'd decide for ourselves, since we're freethinkers. But my brother went to Catholic High, I went to Paya Lebar Methodist, my sister went there too, and currently she's at St Nicholas. Sooo if we're going to pick a faith I think we'd go for either Christianity or Catholicism. & like I said my parents are just bo chap. Basically with them it's anything goes "as long as it doesn't affect your studies." Which is why they were kind of reluctant to let me go today, because they thought I'd make new friends, get interested in this and would want to go back, and that Sec 3 was going to be a busy year for me already, etc etc etc, and I'd need the weekends to catch up on homework and revision. So I went, "Would you prefer me to go to church or, like, slack off at home? Cause it isn't like I do very much on Sundays." They just looked at me. Right well, on hindsight I shouldn't have told them I wanted to join cheer again this year if I get back into Ixora. And I guess they aren't used to me coming home late (I had to stay back until 7-plus for EXCO meetings thrice last week) so they've been worried about that. Still though. I think I may go back, if I have time. 10:46 PM
